SCUBA DIVE EL CHIMO

Chimo is a spectacular dive site located 26 nautical miles from Puerto Vallarta, on the south coast of the Bay of Banderas. Here the ocean floor is characterized by its different and interesting formations. Torrecillas is an underwater plateau with a series of separate pinnacles that rise up giving an incredible effect of light and shadow.

Huge schools of fish, nudibranchs and encounters with Giant Mantas are typical of Chimo. The rock formations and corals are so impressive. This dive site is famous for a series of underwater rock formations called "Las Iglesias" that emerge from the bottom of the ocean, similar to the pillars of a cathedral, a beautiful sight for those who decide to start a trip.
